This is an image A provision of IT service to all students and staff of the school is the major goal of the computer center. To satisfy the need of integration of the network resources and the education environment, we believe development of the software by ourselves is necessary. To support the popularization of daily work automation and campus network, we play a role for IT service and technical support. Devoted to IT education, we are building an excellent teaching and research environment with sufficient resources, and an effective administrative system. With sufficient and timely support of IT service, our staff and students can learn what they need anytime and anywhere.
The main tasks of the computer center are as follows:
a.Planning, development and maintenance of the campus network.
b.Development and integration of the computer environment for teaching and research.
c.Development, maintenance and integration of the administrative software.
d.Establishment of a system and environment for knowledge integration and innovation.
e.Management that the software intelligence proprietary.

   To offer well teaching, research and administration IT service, the computer center defines the following four visions.
'Innovation':to provide latest equipments,
'Agility':to develop safe and agile IT systems,
'Integration':to integrate and innovate knowledge, and
'Efficiency':to improve digital learning environment .

  In the future, besides support of IT education and research, the major tasks will focus on automation of the administrative work, integration of the campus network, development of the administrative software with limited manpower and resources, and fully implementation of office automation systems. We will provide convenient and intelligent IT service. The future development plan is as follows:
  A. Implementation of intelligent campus :
 a.Enhancement of transmission speed of the network facility.
 b.Improve the transmission speed of network of the dormitory network.
 c.Integration and development of the campus wireless network.
 d.Implementation of the smart card as a media to connect the students
    and staff together.
 e.Study of the feasibility of integration of digital data, voice, image, etc.

  B. Integration of administrative IT systems :
  From 2000, we have developed many systems for administration and education affairs. We are also planning the development of finance, personnel and official document management systems, and will be completed in 2006. The major plans are as follows:
 a.Replacement of IT facilities and databases to provide a high quality IT service.
 b.Development and integration of the administration, education, finance, personnel and official document
    management systems .
 c.Development of campus mobile platform to provide IT service on PDA and cellular phones.
 d.Definition of criteria for assessment systems.
 e.Definition of standard operation procedures and automation of the processes.
 f.Continually improvement of the service and functions of the existing systems to match the needs from
   different departments.
 g.Application of the IC card on the campus and integration the function with security, financial service 
    and library service.
 h.Establishment of standard system maintenance processes.
  C. Building of high quality IT-based teaching environment :
  To satisfy the need with increase of the graduate schools and classes, IT related programs and applications will increase greatly and the computer facilities should be replaced. The hardware improvement plans are as follows:
   a. Improvement of 2-3 computer rooms as the annually goal.
 b. Building of professional computer and digital learning rooms.
 c. Development of digital learning platforms and techniques to support
     distance learning.
 d. Improvement of multimedia professional teams to support the 
     authoring of training materials.
 e. Collection of more multimedia materials for digital library.
 f.  Integration of IT and library service to build digital learning
     environment.
 g. Advocate and support of application of the legal software.
