Network Management Regulations
- Dormitory and wireless network traffic quota: 10GB (upload + download) per person per day, reset daily at 5:00 AM. Extra traffic can be applied for through the campus information portal.
- Once dormitory network registration is completed, bed changes are not allowed. Please apply for data deletion at the Information & Library Office if necessary.
- There is no wireless network signal in staff dormitories. If needed, you may install your own access point and register it.
- Campus wireless network SSID: "ydu". Register to access.
- Only cross-subnet “Network Neighborhood” ports (138, 445) are blocked. Other programs and games are allowed.
- P2P download software will cause abnormal traffic and result in blocking (e.g., Foxy, BitTorrent, eDonkey...).
Important Notices

- If using a mobile phone, please disable mobile data before registration.
- Disable browser “Auto-dial” and “Proxy server” settings.
- Your computer IP setting must be DHCP (automatic) to register.
- After successful registration, please wait 10 minutes and then restart. Do not register repeatedly.
- If you encounter traffic issues or blocks, check: Block List.
Registration Tutorial
- Step 1: Set your network adapter to obtain IP via DHCP.
- Step 2: Open a browser. The system will auto-redirect to the registration page. If not, enter

. - Step 3: Click the icon to start registration.
- Step 4: Click “Continue to Website”.
- Step 5: Enter your YDU [Account] and [Password], then click [Login].
- Step 6: Click the [Red Highlighted Area] to complete registration.
- The MAC address will be obtained automatically. Do not edit.
- If changing computers, after login you may click “Update MAC” without deleting old data.
- Step 7: When registration success info appears, wait 5–10 minutes or restart your computer to access the Internet.
