About Us

The primary goal of the YDU Library and Information Center is to provide comprehensive, secure, and convenient IT services to all students and staff. To achieve the integration of our network resources and educational environment, we have focused on developing our own software solutions. By supporting daily work automation and campus network development, we serve as a central hub for IT services and technical support. Our commitment to IT education drives us to build an excellent teaching and research environment with sufficient resources and an effective administrative system. With our timely and robust IT support, our staff and students can access the information they need anytime, anywhere.

Our main tasks are as follows:

  • Planning, development, and maintenance of the campus network.
  • Development and integration of the computer environment for teaching and research.
  • Development, maintenance, and integration of administrative software.
  • Establishment of a system and environment for knowledge integration and innovation.
  • Management of software intellectual property.

Our Vision

To provide high-quality IT services for teaching, research, and administration, we have defined the following four core visions:

  • 'Innovation': To provide the latest equipment and solutions.
  • 'Agility': To develop secure and agile IT systems.
  • 'Integration': To integrate and innovate knowledge.
  • 'Efficiency': To improve the digital learning environment.

Future Development

In the future, in addition to supporting IT education and research, our main focus will be on automating administrative tasks, integrating the campus network, and developing administrative software with limited resources. We aim to fully implement office automation systems and provide convenient, intelligent IT services. Our future development plans are as follows:

  • Enhance network facility transmission speeds.
  • Improve dormitory network transmission speeds.
  • Integrate and develop the campus-wide wireless network.
  • Implement smart cards as a unified medium for students and staff.
  • Study the feasibility of integrating digital data, voice, and images.

We have been developing systems for administration and education since 2000. We are also planning to complete the development of finance, personnel, and official document management systems.

  • Replace IT facilities and databases to provide high-quality services.
  • Develop and integrate administrative, educational, finance, personnel, and document management systems.
  • Develop a campus mobile platform for IT services on mobile devices.
  • Define criteria for assessment systems.
  • Define standard operating procedures and automate processes.
  • Continuously improve existing system services and functions.
  • Apply IC cards on campus and integrate them with security, financial, and library services.
  • Establish standard system maintenance procedures.

To meet the growing needs of graduate schools and IT-related programs, we are improving our hardware facilities.

  • Improve 2-3 computer rooms annually.
  • Build professional computer and digital learning rooms.
  • Develop digital learning platforms and techniques to support distance learning.
  • Improve our multimedia professional teams to support the creation of training materials.
  • Collect more multimedia materials for the digital library.
  • Integrate IT and library services to build a digital learning environment.
  • Advocate and support the use of legal software.
