What is WebMail?

Yu Da University WebMail is a web-based email system. No installation or configuration is required. As long as you have Internet access, you can log in and check your emails anywhere through a browser, just like Gmail or Yahoo Mail.

How to Apply?

  • Students: No application needed, can log in immediately.
  • Faculty & Staff: Application form will be provided by the HR office.
  • Clubs: Apply via campus portal e-forms under "Information Services" and select application type.
  • Alumni: No application needed, permanent access.
  • Former employees: Mailbox will be automatically closed at the end of the year.

Use Yu Da Public Address Book to Email the Entire Campus

  • You must log in to the WebMail system to use the public address book.
  • Students and clubs can only use "Club and Department Shared Accounts".
  • Faculty & Staff can access the full public address book (see group mailing instructions below).

Group Mailing Instructions

Group mailing means selecting recipients in WebMail such as teachers, supervisors, staff, and department assistants. To prevent excessive emails, please use a department account or request authorization from the IT Office.

Method 1:

Notes:

  1. New password will be reset to your ID number in uppercase.
  2. After resetting, immediately change your password to use the full system features.

Method 2:

Click the link: ☆☆☆Submit a password reset request

  1. New password will be reset to your ID number in uppercase.
  2. Requests will be processed within one working day and notified via email.
  3. After resetting, immediately change your password.
  4. Service hours: Mon-Fri 8:20~17:10, ext: 8311 (holiday schedule per announcement).

Support for POP3/SMTP Mail Download Faculty & Staff Only

Faculty & staff can download emails from WebMail to their computers or send emails via client software such as Outlook Express, Office Outlook, or Mozilla Thunderbird.

  • POP3 (incoming) or IMAP: webmail.ydu.edu.tw
  • SMTP (outgoing): webmail.ydu.edu.tw (faculty & staff only)
  • Outlook Express users must check "My server requires authentication".

SMTP PORT: 465 with SSL encryption
