- Unexpected pop-up windows appear.
- Some system programs fail to run.
- Unknown files are generated.
- Hidden files cannot be displayed.
- Unknown processes running in Task Manager.
- Computer automatically sends spam emails.
- Unknown programs start on boot.
- Unknown services start or system services are disabled.
- Firewall cannot start or opens unknown ports.
- Antivirus repeatedly reports blocked viruses.
- Antivirus fails to start or shuts down automatically.
- Virus definitions cannot update.
Network Checks
- Unable to connect to network.
- Network works but web pages cannot be accessed.
- Slow network speed.
- Continuous large upload/download when not in use.
- Unknown network connections.
- Cannot access antivirus or Windows Update websites.
- Website redirects to incorrect page.
- Ensure antivirus definitions are up-to-date; update from official site if necessary.
- Disable "System Restore".
- Boot into Safe Mode (do not enable network).
- Clear browser and system caches.
- Check startup items in registry and remove suspicious entries.
- Run a full antivirus scan.
